How interactive are your MCs?

That is completely up to you. We can be background figures, fully interactive, or anywhere in between.

How loud do you play your music?

We soundcheck with a decibel meter so the loudest point is never harsh. During cocktail and dinner hours we play ambient background music; when it is time to dance we angle speakers toward the floor so it is loud enough to dance while the room can still socialize.

Do we have to feed our DJ?

That is completely up to you. Please let us know prior to the event so we can plan accordingly.

What equipment do you use? Do you have backup gear?

We use cutting-edge, industry-standard gear from brands like EV, JBL, Shure, Pioneer and Behringer, with fully digital playback. We always carry backup equipment and keep multiple copies of key songs so the music never stops. A wireless handheld microphone is included with every package.

Do you mix your music?

Yes. We do not rely on automix; we live beat-mix every song on industry-standard Pioneer controllers to keep the energy flowing, much like a club DJ.

Do you offer a light show?

Absolutely. We provide a full LED intelligent RGB light show that looks great in person and in photos, custom-synced to the music. We also offer uplighting and intelligent lighting upgrades.

Can we have a do-not-play list and request songs?

Yes to both. You can provide a do-not-play list, and we take requests through our online portal. Our collection spans hundreds of thousands of songs across every genre and decade.

How much are your services?

How do payments work?

A 50% retainer is due at contract signing to lock in your date, with final payment due one month prior. We accept cash, check, or online payments such as Venmo. There is no sales tax on our services.

How far do you travel?

We serve the entire greater Capital Region and beyond within a 50-mile radius. Locations further out may include travel costs in the quote, subject to availability.

When do you arrive?

Accepted Answer

For private events, about 1 to 1.5 hours early; for large school events, 2 to 3 hours prior; for weddings, three or more hours early.

Question 13

What do you require from the venue?

Accepted Answer

Typically a dedicated 110V 15-amp circuit for DJ equipment (large events need two), one six-foot banquet table, and protection from direct sunlight and rain for outdoor events.

Do the DJs dress properly?

Always. For formal events like weddings and proms we wear suits; for semi-formal events, collared button-downs; for casual events and setup, a company polo.
