Do you take breaks?

No! In contrast to a band, we keep the party rocking from start to finish with no stops.
How interactive are your MCs?

That’s completely up to you. We can be background figures, fully interactive, or anywhere in between.
How loud do you play your music?

We soundcheck with a decibel meter so the loudest point is never harsh. During cocktail and dinner hours we play ambient background music so guests can talk; when it’s time to dance we adjust and angle speakers toward the floor so it’s loud enough to dance while the rest of the room can still socialize.
Do we have to feed our DJ?

That’s completely up to you. Please let us know prior to the event so we can plan accordingly.
What equipment do you use? Do you have backup gear?

We use only cutting-edge, industry-standard gear with completely digital playback. We always carry backup equipment and keep multiple copies of key songs across laptops, tablets and phones so the music never stops. A wireless handheld microphone is included with every package at no extra charge.
Do you mix your music?

Yes — that’s what sets us apart. We don’t rely on automix; we live beat-mix every song on industry-standard Pioneer controllers to keep the energy flowing, much like a club DJ.
Do you offer a light show?

Absolutely. We provide a full LED intelligent RGB light show that looks great in person and in photos (no tacky dots or lasers), custom-synced to the music. We also offer upgraded packages including uplighting and intelligent lighting.
Can we have a "do not play" list and request songs?

Yes to both. You can provide a do-not-play list, and we take client and guest requests (as appropriate) through our online portal. Our collection spans hundreds of thousands of songs across every genre and decade — if you need something specific, let us know in advance.
How much are your services?

Rates depend on the type of event, location, date, setup, package and enhancements. Set up a consultation using the Request Information button for a quote. Our goal is to provide an amazing event within your budget.
How do payments work?

A 50% retainer is due at contract signing to lock in your date, with final payment due one month prior to the event. We accept cash, check, or online payments such as Venmo. There is no sales tax on our services, and you only pay for performance time — never setup.
How far do you travel?

We serve the entire greater Capital Region and beyond within a 50-mile radius. Locations further out may include travel costs (mileage, food, lodging) in the quote, subject to availability.
When do you arrive?

For private events, about 1–1.5 hours early; for large school events, 2–3 hours prior; for weddings, three or more hours early. This ensures your sound and lighting are fully tested and ready to rock right away.
What do you require from the venue?

Typically a dedicated 110V 15-amp circuit for DJ equipment (large events/school dances need two), one six-foot banquet table (tablecloth and skirting appreciated), and protection from direct sunlight and rain for outdoor events.
Do the DJs dress properly?

Always. For formal events like weddings and proms we wear suits; for semi-formal events, collared button-downs; for casual events and setup, a company polo.
