I studied Digital Forensics at SUNY Albany, and DJing turned out to be the perfect blend of my two passions: music and technology.

Where it started
I got my start back in 5th grade, volunteering to mix sound for my elementary school's variety show. That sparked something. Through middle and high school I kept at it, mixing audio for theater productions and band concerts.
Why I started DJing
My friend Will and I went to every school dance, and the DJs kept falling short. They didn't mix, didn't read the room, and their sound was underpowered.
We were convinced we could do better. So I taught myself to mix from scratch on my laptop, with nothing but a keyboard and mouse.
How NWN got its name
The question I always get: what does NWN stand for? In 9th grade English, Will pitched me a crazy idea. Start a DJ business, fix everything we hated about the DJs we'd seen, and give people the parties we never got.
I thought he was nuts. That aged well. We brought in our friend Noah, and the three initials became NWN. We pooled our money and gear and pulled off our first Sweet Sixteen in April 2017.
Going it alone
Noah stepped away for other ventures, and Will moved to Nashville for college to study audio engineering. He now runs Nashville Live Sound. I kept NWN going.
Where we are now
Since COVID, NWN has grown faster than I ever imagined. I DJ 70+ events a year: schools and Sweet 16s (my favorites), weddings and nightclubs.
In high school I dreamed of touring the 518, hitting as many school dances as I could. In 2025 we did 13 proms alone, so I brought on DJs who share my love for high-energy events. I still eat those words of doubt I said to Will.
